Furnished for your relaxation, this comfortable, rambling house has three bedrooms on the second floor. There is a master bedroom with a king-size bed, and two bedrooms with a queen-size bed each. One bathroom has a walk-in shower and a whirlpool bathtub. The other second-floor bathroom has a clawfoot tub.
On the first floor (next to the den) is another full bath with a walk-in shower.
The third floor offers a quiet getaway for children, teens, or anyone who enjoys a high vantage point; it's far from the bustle in the kitchen. There is a TV room with a DVD player, a Foosball table, and magnetic darts. Here is where you can bring your laptop to connect to the high-speed internet.
Sample the excellent seafood restaurants in town. Or eat in, preparing a meal in the fully-equipped kitchen. Cambridge Victorian has a dining room that easily seats ten; it will enable you to bring back memories of the days of sit-down dining and good conversation.
Early risers can read the paper over coffee and breakfast in the cozy sunroom. The first-floor great room provides a relaxing atmosphere in which to socialize, read a good book in front of the fireplace, and play board games or cards.
Your stay at the Cambridge Victorian will allow you time to see the area's many offerings. The Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is an area gem, and is home to the second largest population of bald eagles on the East Coast. Blackwater is a stopover for waterfowl on the Atlantic flyway. There are geese, 20 duck species, osprey, great blue heron, swans, hawks, owls, and many varieties of songbirds. Dedicated birdwatchers and novices alike will enjoy driving, walking, and biking through the refuge.
Museum and historic sites abound in Dorchester. And there's a self-guided walking tour of Cambridge's historic district.
A map of bicycle trails will guide both casual and experienced riders over Dorchester's more than 500 miles of flat, scenic, country roads. And with easy access to public boat ramps, visitors can enjoy boating, kayaking, sailing, and fishing. Fishing enthusiasts will enjoy the nearby pier across the Choptank River.
